MILLIE IS IN TOWN!

Bring on the roaring twenties, the South Whidbey High School in collaboration with the Whidbey Children's Theater present Thoroughly Modern Millie. Over 40 students have worked diligently for the past two months to prepare for opening night on Friday October 30th. The show runs two weekends with additional performances on October 31, November 5 and 7 at 7:30 p.m. and matinees on November 1 and 8 at 2 p.m. (There is no show on Friday, November 6th).

Thursday, November 5th will be family night with all tickets only $5. Tickets for all other shows are $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Tickets are available at the door. All performances will be at the South Whidbey High School Auditorium located at 5675 South Maxwelton Road in Langley.

Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of Millie, a small-town girl from Kansas who moves to New York City with the intention of marrying for money not love. Full of dancing, singing and amazing sets from the 1920s this well-loved Tony award winning musical will warm your heart and leave you with revived hope.

Thoroughly Modern Millie is based on the book by Dick Scanlan and Richard Morris with music and lyrics by Jeanine Tesori and Dick Scanlan. This production is directed by Dana Linn and Suzanne Kelman, with set design by Jim Scullin and Tom Harris and light design by Rod Stewart.
