Canvass CommitteeThis committee is responsible for oversight of the annual canvass. Capital Campaign CommitteeThis committee is responsible for oversight of the Capital Fund Campaign. Caring ConnectionsCaring is something we all know about. By virtue of our humanity, we all have times when we need care from others and times of wanting to help care for others. Our Caring Connections Committee provides us with opportunities for these caring interactions. When you need a hand, please give one of us a call. If you want to lend a hand, please le us know just how you can help by completing the Organizing our UUCWI Caring Resources Questionnaire. This questionaire can be found in our committee brochure. We will call on you only for those services you would like to offer. Unitarian Universalists have a long tradition of caring for each other when a need arises. Deep, day-to-day connections can only happen in an environment of cooperation and reciprocity. Caring Connections will provide the structure; it is up to everyone to provide the heart. Committee members act as liaison to our minister and chaplains. We can complement their work and increase the ability of our community to respond to indidividual needs.. You may convey concerns to our Caring Connections Committee through our Church Coordinator or find more information HERE Children's Religious Education CommitteeThis committee is responsible for oversight of the Children's Religious Education program (see the Religious Education page for more information). Volunteers to build and guide this program are most welcome! ChoirOur choir practices twice a month and performs once each month at a Sunday service. The choir schedule is posted on our Calendar of Events. If you are interested in joining the choir, contact the to be put in contact with the Choir Director. Resources for Choir MembersThe following files are for choir preparation: Communications CommitteeThe Communications Committee oversees congregational publications such as our newsletter and website, coordinates internal communication, and coordinates the congregation's publicity in the Whidbey Island community. The webmaster, newsletter editor, and church coordinator are members. Membership CommitteeThe Membership Committee oversees membership functions, including membership directories, outreach, and welcoming new members. Nominating CommitteeThe Nominating Committee develops a slate of nominees for Board of Trustees positions each year. Committee members are elected by the congregation. Social Action CommitteeThe goal of the Social Action Committee is for UUCWI to be a significant presence in the community that responds to needs and acts as an instrument of social justice and positive change. Visual Arts Committee - the UUCWI Gallery of ArtThe purpose of the UUCWI Visual Arts Committee is to serve as a clearing house for ideas concerning the selection, use and display of all art objects within and around the church building and for maintaining the integrity of the aesthetics of our building Worship CommitteeThe Worship Committee is responsible for planning, organizing, and presenting Sunday services. We need your help in continuing to provide excellent Sunday Services. Please let us know if you are able to help with any of the major or minor tasks associated with Sunday services.
