Marina Customer
Service Technician
Beni Witt

Beni is the "personality" of the Oak Harbor Marina - the friendly voice customers hear on the phone, and the smiling receptionist they meet when they walk in the door. She also manages the marina's computer system, billing and accounts maintenance - a major job which is critical to the accomplishment of our customer service goals. Beni is a native of California - the "C" word - and has been on the marina team since June 1990. The source of greatest pride to her is having successfully raised two children, and being a young grandmother - five times! Beni is without doubt the best known of all the marina staff, and one of our greatest assets.

Marina Maintenance Attendant II
Phil Whitlock

Phil joined the Marina team in November 2005, and has come aboard with energy and enthusiasm! He was born and raised in Holland, Michigan, where he lived until he was 13 years old, and still has many aunts, uncles and cousins there. His family transplanted to Oak Harbor for a business opportunity for his parents, and Phil has lived in Oak Harbor for the past 18 years, along with his mother and brother. He graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1993, and worked for his parents for a short time in their restaurant. More recently, Phil gained 8 years’ experience working on boats in the Oak Harbor Marina for a private company. He is a welcome addition to the Marina staff, and brings a wealth of knowledge of boats and familiarity with our marina. He and his wife, Shawn, have been married for 7 ½ years, and they have three children, Dresden 16, Zach 14, and Devin 6. Most of his spare time is spent with his family and doing home improvements. We’re most fortunate to have Phil on board!

Marina Maintenance Attendant II
Cliff Erickson

Cliff joined the Marina team in February 2006, and brought with him a wealth of experience in marina construction, installation and maintenance.  He counts among his skills 30 years as a mechanic, heavy equipment operator, longshoreman, welder, and electrician. Among his career accomplishments are more than 20 years with Bellingham Marine Industries, where he served as foreman on much of the work done in the Oak Harbor Marina over the past 15 years, including installation of our public boarding dock, fabrication and assembly of the 250 foot extension of the breakwater dock in 1998, and in 2000, the complete rebuild of the F dock breakwater wall.  He is completely versatile in the marina environment, and has a true talent for troubleshooting and repair.  Cliff and his wife, Fran, reside in Bellingham. We are most fortunate to have Cliff on the Oak Harbor team.
