		Dive Services Authorized to Work in the Oak Harbor Marina The below listed divers have complied with the City’s insurance and business license requirements, and have agreed to perform work in accordance with the directives and advisories of the Washington State Department of Ecology (DOE), and the Oak Harbor Marina Environmental Policies. Specifically, DOE / DNR Environmental Advisory of April 28, 1999, states, in part: “The Washington State Departments of Ecology (Ecology) and Natural Resources (DNR) have determined the cleaning, by commercial divers, of vessels (as defined by federal regulation) painted with sloughing and ablative anti-fouling paints, and those vessels painted with tin-based compounds while the vessel is afloat is prohibited by state law. The use of mechanical or hydraulic devices for in-water hull cleaning and the manual scraping of hard growth off surfaces painted with anti-foulants is also prohibited.” Additionally, the Marina requires that divers working here provide a monthly report of hull cleaning work done, along with a certification that they have operated in compliance with the DOE requirement stated above. In providing this list, Oak Harbor Marina specifically does not endorse or recommend any dive service named. The decision to employ one of the firms listed rests solely with the customer.
