In 1942, Dari-Rich, a chocolate flavored drink company in Chicago, sent out a promotional 78 rpm record with a scene from the movie. The mailing label shows Paulette Goddard; the record label shows Goddard and DeMille and a small photo of Goddard and Milland from the film.

An ad hawking a soft drink featured Goddard, and mentions her then-current movie, "Reap the Wild Wind" in the small print.

1952 re-release poster/lobby cards

By the time the film was re-released in 1952, John Wayne has begun to reach mythic status, and Susan Hayward's star was considerably brighter than Paulette Goddard's. This lobby card shows the re-ordered billing according to the then-current status of the four stars. (Note: Susan Hayward actually received 6th billing in the film, behind Raymond Massey and Robert Preston.) (Note: the 1998 release of the film on DVD retains the order shown on these posters for the information on the cast of the film.)

The stars as they appeared on Dixie Cup ice cream lids at the time the picture was released.
