WHIDBEY ISLAND WASHINGTON USA
Hiking and Backpacking
Many miles of beautiful, well graded trails await the energetic hiker
in Washington State. From walks along Pacific Ocean beaches to
strenuous climbs up the near vertical Cascades, Washington has trails
for hikers of every level. I have been on a lot of trails but I could
hike a new one every day and never cross my bootprints. That's how many and
varied the trails are. Hundreds of guide books have been written so
I am not going to offer a rewrite. I will make some suggestions based
on personal experience or trusted sources, and offer my opinion on a few
guide books. I will also include information on a few outdoor stores,
but only for those with whom I have done business. Keep in mind,
these are my opinions. This page should be updated frequently. Please
check back from time to time.
